Top 13 Benton County electricians ranked by online visibility

I ranked the top 13 electricians in Benton County based on their SEO, website experience, how easy it is to convert, paid advertising, and more.

Look, I'm a competitive guy, which means I love a good ranking system.

The AP Top 25. The MLB Top 100. If it's a ranking, I'm interested. And if you're a business owner, especially one in growth mode, you're probably paying attention to rankings too.

But this isn't a ranking of the best electricians in the Corvallis-Albany area. In fact, this methodology doesn't evaluate craftsmanship, quality of work, customer service, pricing, or anything else related to the actual electrical work these companies perform. A company at the bottom of this list could very well employ the top electricians in the valley. That's simply not what this ranking measures.

I've been working in digital marketing for nearly 10 years, and over that time I've gotten pretty good at analyzing the digital landscape of an industry and identifying who's doing it well and who's leaving opportunities on the table.

That's why I created this methodology. It's built on a 100-point scale that ranks service-based companies on the effectiveness of their digital marketing strategy and online visibility.

Why should you care about this ranking?

Digital visibility matters because it's often the difference between getting found and getting ignored. When a homeowner's panel keeps tripping breakers, or they want an EV charger installed in the garage, they turn to Google first. And often, they have brands in mind already based on brand awareness and visibility years before they were actively searching for an electrician.

The companies that consistently appear in search results, maps, reviews, and advertisements have a significant advantage in capturing those high-value opportunities.

This ranking is designed to measure which electricians are winning that battle online.

The Methodology

Now, I'm not going to give away the entire secret sauce, but I will explain how the methodology works.

The ranking system evaluates businesses across five core digital marketing categories, each weighted differently based on its impact on overall visibility and lead generation:

Paid Advertising (15 points): Google search ads, Meta ads, and other Google channels like Local Services and display placements.

Lead Capture (10 points): how easy it is for a visitor to convert — click-to-call buttons, quote forms, and calls-to-action that follow you as you scroll.

Website User Experience (20 points): navigation and usability, plus mobile page speed and responsiveness.

SEO Visibility (35 points): local search presence across AI Overviews, map packs, and organic results, plus keyword footprint and domain authority.

Brand Reputation & Local SEO (20 points): Google rating and review volume, benchmarked against the rest of the list.

I researched each company and assigned points based on a variety of digital marketing best practices within those categories. For example, an electrician running Google paid search may earn a higher score in paid advertising. Likewise, a company with dedicated service pages for panel upgrades and EV chargers may gain points in SEO visibility, while losing points if their site loads slowly on mobile or buries the phone number or lead form.

Each category contains multiple scoring factors, which helps create a more balanced ranking. During my research, I found companies with decades of experience and glowing reviews that still scored lower because they had no website at all. Others had beautiful branding but conversion paths so broken that interested visitors had nowhere to go.

The goal wasn't to reward one specific marketing tactic. It was to evaluate the overall strength of a company's digital presence.

A note on timing and data collection

All research for this report was conducted on or around October 3, 2026, and reflects what was publicly observable during that period.

To evaluate local SEO visibility and paid search presence, search queries were selected based on the terms prospective homeowners would be most likely to use when researching electrical services. This included high-intent searches related to panel upgrades, EV charger installation, emergency electricians, lighting installation, and generator installation, plus location-specific electrician queries for Corvallis and Albany.

Digital marketing activity can change quickly. For example, an electrician may pause paid ad campaigns due to heavy backlogs, seasonality, or staffing capacity. As a result, some businesses may have received lower scores in paid advertising if no active campaigns were visible during the research period.

This report should be viewed as a snapshot of each company's digital visibility at the time the research was conducted.

A note if your company isn't listed

I did my best to include residential electricians with a physical presence in the Corvallis-Albany area. If you own an electrical company in Corvallis or Albany and don't see your business here, there's a good chance it's because you have little to no digital footprint that I could find during my research.

If that's the case, I'd be happy to provide a free digital marketing audit for your business so you can see what you can do to compete with those on this list.

Let's get to ranking

Alright, enough data science. Let's get into the rankings.

We'll start at the bottom of the list and work our way to the top.

One final reminder: These rankings evaluate online visibility and digital marketing effectiveness only. It does not evaluate electrical workmanship, safety, customer satisfaction beyond public reviews, or actual service quality.

Superior Electric lands at the bottom of this ranking for the simplest reason on the entire list: they don't have a website. Not a bad website — no website at all. No discoverable official site exists, which zeroes out paid, lead capture, and user experience in one stroke and leaves them with almost nothing for search engines to rank.

The brand itself has a real local reputation: nearly three decades in Corvallis, and reviews mention home projects, EV charger installs, and responsive service. But in digital marketing, if you don't have a website, you are essentially unfindable to prospective customers searching online, and you've limited your new customer pipeline to referrals and word of mouth. A basic five-page site with service pages and a click-to-call button would transform this company's digital presence overnight.

Benton Electric has been in the game a long time, doing electrical work since 1967, which makes their digital presence all the more surprising. The site has very little content, contact buttons that redirect nowhere, no clear call to actions, and phone numbers and email addresses that aren't clickable. It's the rare website that actively works against the business it represents.

They stay out of last place thanks to a decent keyword footprint — 173 ranking keywords shows Google has found something to work with. But with a 3.3-star rating on just 10 reviews, brand reputation is the other anchor here. For a company with nearly 60 years of history, a review generation campaign alone would be the fastest way to capture new leads.

Premier Electric is the paradox of this ranking: a perfect brand reputation score attached to a company with no website whatsoever. A 4.6-star rating across 65 reviews puts them in the top tier of local trust — tied for the best reputation score on the list.

But trust you can't act on doesn't generate leads. With no website, there is nowhere to convert: zeros across paid, lead capture, and user experience. Their SEO points come entirely from local search presence — they still show up in map packs on the strength of their Google Business Profile alone. Imagine what this review profile could do with an actual website behind it.

For His Glory has a problem that dwarfs everything else in their audit: their website is throwing a 404. The domain exists, but visitors land on an error page. That single technical failure zeroes out lead capture and kneecaps the entire digital presence.

Underneath the broken site is a business customers clearly love — 4.9 stars across 54 reviews, one of the strongest reputations in Albany. Fix the website and this company jumps a half-dozen spots overnight. Until then, they're converting exactly zero of the homeowners who find them.

Trade Pro is the most lopsided company on this list. A perfect 10/10 in lead capture — genuinely one of the easiest sites in the market to convert on — sitting next to almost no SEO visibility. With no real service page content, their website doesn’t rank for any relevant Google queries, but what does come up is their Google Business Profile.

The conversion machinery is excellent; there's just no traffic flowing into it. Dedicated service pages for their core offerings would give search engines something to rank, and with that lead capture experience, the traffic would convert.

Northside is a strange case. They have a beautiful building in Corvallis and a great logo — the brand looks like a market leader. But the website could use a refresh: no clear call to action, hard-to-read navigation headers, and service pages with little content

They're carried here by the largest keyword footprint on the list — 293 ranking keywords — which keeps their SEO score respectable despite the thin pages. But they're leaving an enormous amount on the table: with their brand assets and this domain authority, a modern site with real service content could make them genuinely dangerous in this market.

7 Positive Electric Inc.

Positive Electric does a lot of the fundamentals right. It's easy to convert everywhere on the site, the architecture is clear, and they have real service pages. Content isn't thin, though it's not deep either — localized SEO pages for their service areas would be the clear next step.

The red flag is the 4.0-star rating — the lowest on this list. With 39 reviews, that's enough volume for the rating to matter, and in a market where competitors sit at 4.7 and above, it's a conversion killer. A review recovery campaign should be priority one.

6 Axis Electric, Inc.

Axis Electric leans into the local electrician vibe well — the site cares about community, and that authenticity counts for something. But the execution undercuts it: on mobile, words and buttons get cut off or overflow the screen, the service request button disappears when you scroll, and phone numbers aren't clickable.

They also suffer from thin content, which caps their SEO ceiling. The good news: these are all fixable problems. Sticky CTAs, clickable phone numbers, and deeper service content would move them several spots up this list.

5 RG Smith Electric & Plumbing

39.5/100

RG Smith has been serving Corvallis since 1977, and the site's bones are good — solid architecture and genuinely good mobile responsiveness. But there's no clear call to action anywhere. Even the hero phone number isn't clickable, which means the single highest-intent moment on the entire site is a dead end.

Their content is thin, and thin content guarantees low SEO visibility — they're running on domain authority (the highest DR on the list at 23) rather than pages that deserve to rank. Making the phone number clickable and adding conversion paths would be the fastest wins.

4 Thevenin Electric

40/100

Thevenin Electric owns a distinction no one else on this list can claim: they're the only company running Google paid ads. Two active ads, including a Local Services placement — which, in a market where literally zero paid placements appeared across five high-intent service queries, makes them the entire paid advertising presence of the Corvallis-Albany electrical market.

They also do several things very well: the call to action is always visible, it's easy to connect (including by text), and their deep content earned them citations in AI Overviews. But the site design isn't great, navigation dropdowns are hard to read, and mobile responsiveness needs work.

3 M&W Electric Inc.

Brand Reputation & Local SEO:

20/20

Overall

44/100

M&W Electric pairs 35+ years in business with a perfect brand reputation score — 4.7 stars across 68 reviews. That's the kind of trust profile that does half your selling for you.

However, the website experience could use some improvement. Hero text is hard to read, photos are pixelated, and there's no clear call-to-action button, especially as you scroll. The quote form is fine, but feels long because of the way it’s built. Depth of content and localized SEO pages would help their search visibility enormously. This is a great business wrapped in a website that undersells it.

2 Rite Way Electric, Inc.

Website User Experience:

8/20

SEO Visibility:

13.5/35

Brand Reputation & Local SEO:

20/20

Overall

47.5/100

Rite Way has been at it since 1979, and it shows in the numbers that matter most: 4.7 stars across 155 reviews, the largest review volume on this list, and a perfect brand reputation score. They're also one of only two companies with any paid footprint at all.

What keeps them out of the top spot is the website experience. Navigation is jumbled, phone numbers are clickable and CTAs exist but vanish when you scroll — they need to be sticky. They have service area pages, which is more than most competitors can say, but the pages need more content on them. Fix the navigation and content depth, and there's very little separating them from number one.

1 Hub City Electric LLC

Website User Experience:

18/20

SEO Visibility:

15.5/35

Brand Reputation & Local SEO:

8/20

Overall

51.5/100

Hub City Electric takes the top spot, and it's not particularly close. You can tell they know what they're doing as far as their SEO and website strategy goes. Dedicated local SEO pages, deep content for every service area, clear calls to action at every turn, an excellent contact page, and excellent design. They have the fastest site on the list, a perfect lead capture score, and the strongest local search presence we measured — including citations in three separate AI Overviews.

Here's the remarkable part: they did it with zero paid advertising. Not a single active ad on Google or Meta. In a market where nobody is buying visibility, the company that invested in content and user experience simply owns the organic landscape.

The vulnerability is obvious, though. A 5.0 rating is perfect — but across only 24 reviews, it's the thinnest review profile near the top of this list. Brand reputation is their lowest-scoring category, and it's the clearest path for a competitor to catch them. If Hub City paired their digital foundation with a serious review generation effort — or, frankly, any paid advertising at all — they'd be untouchable.

Bonus: category leaders

Paid Advertising Visibility

Thevenin Electric (4/15) — the only company with active Google ads.

Hub City Electric and Trade Pro Electric (10/10, tie) — the two easiest sites to convert on.

Website User Experience

Hub City Electric (18/20) — fastest site, best usability.

SEO Visibility

Brand Reputation & Local SEO

A three-way tie at 20/20 — M & W Electric, Rite Way Electric, and Premier Electric.

What does this mean for your business?

Look, if you're a residential electrician in Corvallis or Albany, you're not actively looking to grow, and most of your business comes from referrals, repeat customers, or your established reputation, then being near the bottom of this list probably isn't something you need to lose sleep over.

This ranking only matters if you're trying to grow your business, generate more qualified project leads, increase website traffic, or capture market share from local competitors.

That's one of the reasons we don't lock businesses into long-term contracts at Desert Fox Digital. If your schedule is booked out months in advance and you're turning away work, digital visibility probably isn't your biggest challenge right now.

That said, there is one important caveat.

If your project pipeline eventually slows down and you've never invested in local SEO, brand reputation, site experience, or paid advertising, you'll have an uphill climb to become competitive. Digital visibility takes time to build, and waiting until leads dry up is usually the most expensive time to begin investing in marketing.

If you found your company near the bottom of this list and you're actively looking to grow, the good news is that I've already identified several key opportunities that could help increase your visibility, generate more high-value electrical leads, and improve your competitive position online.

If you'd like a second set of eyes on your marketing, request a free digital marketing audit. We'll review what's working, identify what's holding you back, and discuss a strategy to help you outrank competitors, reach new homeowners, generate more qualified leads, and grow your business.
